Keithblog is on the move!

At the moment I'm in the process of moving to Keithblog 3. As I don't really know what I'm doing it could take some time and many broken links. In the meantime you might like to update any Links you have to blog.kginter.net and any Feeds to blog.kginter.net/feeds.

See you on the other side.

Lesser Spotted Irish Mole

08 April 2008

The bright sparks at B&Q in Northern Ireland spotted a gaping whole in the mole repellent market. Products were shipped over to NI stores where one was priced £19.98 and the other at £14.98. They did work extremely well, in fact after instillation it was reported one Irish gardener couldn't spot a mole within 200 miles of his lawn.

The reason, of course, is the general lack of Moles anywhere on the island. Those of you who watched Blueprint last night will know that the fauna & flora in Ireland differs significantly from that on Great Britain due to our geographic isolation from it and mainland Europe. Moles are just one of many species which didn't get stuck here after the last ice age.

A B&Q spokesperson told the BBC "The mole repellents were sent to Northern Ireland by mistake and will be removed from stores in the near future,". It'd be interesting to find out how many units they actually sold.
