Further to the big yellow box at the top of the page (and for those of you using Google Reader or some such aggregator) Keithblog is on the move. Thanks to a new web host and its inclusion of a MySQL database I can now use WordPress for blog publishing.

No doubt Keithblog4 will be hosted directly in my mind, cutting out the need for software all together. But like commercial space travel, we'll just have to wait for Richard Branson brand that first.

A rundown of web browser usage on Keithblog from Google Analytics:

• Internet Explorer with 51.92%,
• Mozilla Firefox at 44.23%,
• Camino at 1.92% and
• Apple's Safari is used by 1.92% of Keithblog readers.

Good to see only half of you still use Internet Explorer. This means that Keithblog attracts better informed users than most websites. Web-wide Internet Explorer accounts for over 80% of web users and Firefox making up the majority of the other 20%.

Sorry for the lack of posting. Just started my placement year job and have been busy for the first time since leaving high school. Tech and Uni life don't really prepare you for these kinds of early mornings and, well, work in general!

To make up for the lack of posts here I have been helping to set up some new Northern Irish blogs. Not really much point following the link as they're not finished yet - or in 'beta' as us web professionals like to say.

Fed up with the same old blue Keithblog?

Well, now you can choose from an extensive range of colours using a cool wee Dynamic Drive JavaScript. You have a choice of Green, Gray, Red and - of course - Blue or #6699CC as I like to call it. I'm working on a couple of more dramatically different style sheets to add a bit of spice. The current ones are basically re-coloured versions of the default template.

Scroll up to the top of the page and on the right, just below the Blogger bar, is the selection of styles. If you have cookies enabled then your Browser should remember which style you choose last and apply it every time you visit.

After a failed attempt to apply the BlueSky theme (by Jonas John) on Keithblog, I have had to use a mish mash of Blogger templates and images from my own website, hence the similar looking background.

In conclusion, Blogger templates are so much more complicated then they need to be. Maybe over Christmas I will try to make it work.

Welcome to Keithblog 2.0, it's finally up and running. Hopefully I will update this one a bit better than the other. As I said in a previous post the old Keithblog has moved to archive.blog.kginternet.co.uk (bit of a mouth full, I know).

In an attempt to make writing my blog easier I have decided to call in Blogger (another internet company google bought, they're taking over the net!). Although simplePHPblog was great, and very easy to use, updating it has become a bit complicated since I have so many entries in Keithblog.

I will be moving the original Keithblog to archive.blog.kginternet.co.uk, so it will all still be available to view, although not to comment.

I’m still getting used to this and will be creating a public address shortly. Hopefully it won’t be long till you are reading this.
